The Safety Light Package (also called an Auxiliary Lighting System) is a patented device that flashes the trailer lights whenever the electrical power from the tractor becomes disconnected. It is especially useful when loading or unloading the trailer at night, providing safety lighting for the trailer frame when the gooseneck is detached. Power for the unit is provided by a 12-volt battery which is stored in the deck of the trailer and receives a trickle-charge from the main electrical system when not in use.

On ROGERS Ultima Series detachable gooseneck trailers, the Security Link is a safety device that helps prevent the gooseneck from detaching unexpectedly should the trailer frame "bottom out" while in motion. The Security Link also prevents the gooseneck from falling to the ground when the trailer is parked uncoupled from the tractor. The link is located at the front center of the trailer deck and fastens to mating plates on the rear of the gooseneck. Ultima Series trailers may have either one or two Security Links depending on the capacity of the trailer.

A Self-Cleaning (or Ladder-Style) Beavertail is an alternative to the traditional wood or steel covered beavertail. It is constructed using angle iron so that it provides extra traction when loading machinery and allows dirt to fall through so it isn't carried onto the trailer's deck. Self-Cleaning Beavertail is available as an option on all ROGERS trailers having a rear slope (beavertail).

Side Beam Flange Reinforcing refers to pieces of steel bar welded at an angle from underneath the outer top flange of to the web of each side beam of the trailer deck. Its purpose is to minimize the deformation of the top outside flange that happens over time as wide machinery is loaded on the trailer.

The Sloped Rear Extension (sometimes called a Dove Tail) is a sloped extension on the rear frame of a trailer to allow equipment to be loaded over the rear of the trailer - with or without the use of rear ramps. Most all ROGERS fixed gooseneck and tag-along trailers include a Sloped Rear Extension. A Sloped Rear Extension is also available as an option on certain ROGERS detachable gooseneck models and is used for loading when it is not convenient to detach the gooseneck for the front loading of equipment.

The Sloper is a trailer deck style that gradually slopes upward from behind the gooseneck to the trailer's rear frame. This design provides an extra long usable loading area with easy access to the load space over the rear frame. The Sloper is particularly useful to paving customers who wish to haul multiple machines at a time. Trailers with this deck style have also been used many times for customers to haul railroad construction equipment because of its gradual load angle and extra long available deck length. The Sloper is available with all ROGERS Ultima Series detachable gooseneck trailers from 35 to 50 ton capacities.

A Spare Tire Carrier can be installed on the top or side of a gooseneck or drawbar to hold a spare tire in place.

The Spread Axle "East Coast" is a spread axle assembly is a removable framework coupled to removable axle(s). The spread axle may use mechanical air or hydraulics to provide load transfer. The Spread Axle "East Coast" uses shims and the suspension system to distribute the weight evenly across the axles. The Spread Axle "East Coast" increases the wheel base of the trailer when attached to the rear frame. The Spread Axle "East Coast" is used in heavy hauling situations where stringent "overweight" regulations and specific axle loads are critical.

The Spread Axle "West Coast" is a spread axle assembly is a removable framework coupled to removable axle(s). The Spread Axle "West Coast" may use mechanical air or hydraulics to provide load transfer. The axles of the main trailer are attached to an interior rocker beam, that "floats" between the splice beams of the trailer. Weight equalization of Spread Axle "West Coast" is superior to the "East Coast" style, but the cost is significantly more. The Spread Axle "West Coast" increases the wheel base of the trailer when attached to the rear frame. The Spread Axle "West Coast" is used in heavy hauling situations where stringent "overweight" regulations and specific axle loads are critical.

Spring and Walking Beam Suspension is a severe-duty choice for many 3 and 4-axle trailers. The combination of two rubber-bushed walking beams connected by a heavy spring has a "walking" action with increased load stability and positive axle alignment. Spring and Walking Beam Suspension is available in 75,000 lb. and 90,000 lb. capacities for 3-axle trailers; 100,000 lb. and 120,000 lb. capacities for 4-axle trailers. The axle spacing is set at 50".
